Product backlog
The product backlog is the single, priority-ordered list of everything the team might build — features, bugs and improvements — with the top kept ready to plan.
Its power is the ordering: position is the priority, and one person owns that order. The moment candidate work lives in three places, prioritisation becomes politics rather than a decision.
Only the top one or two sprints' worth needs real definition. Detailing item ninety-four is waste, because by the time it surfaces the context around it will have changed entirely.
