Burndown chart
A burndown chart plots the work remaining in a sprint day by day, falling toward zero, so a team can see whether it is on track to finish.
Compared against an ideal diagonal, the line answers one question early enough to act on it: will this sprint land. Its blind spot is scope change — if five points complete while five new points enter, the line flattens and looks like a stalled team rather than a moved goalpost.
Burnup charts fix that blind spot by drawing total scope as its own line, which is why burnup is the better chart for stakeholder conversations even though burndown is the more famous one.
In Flocci Projects
Not implemented. Flocci Projects shows sprint progress (done points against total, with days remaining) and a cross-sprint velocity trend instead; Jira, Zoho Sprints, Shortcut Business and Plane Business offer burndown.
