Definition of done

The definition of done is a shared checklist every item must satisfy before it counts as complete — typically reviewed, tested, merged, deployed and documented.

Its purpose is to make 'done' mean the same thing to everyone, which is what makes velocity trustworthy: if one person's done is merged and another's is demoed, the points measure two different things and the average is noise.

Keep it to roughly six lines. A twenty-item checklist gets ignored by the second sprint, and an ignored definition is worse than none because it creates the illusion of a shared standard.

Not a product feature — teams write it on a Flocci Library wiki page and attach that page to issues from the Links panel, so it is one click from the work.
